Welcome to our support

The Bursar’s Office manages the Junior School and College External Screens.

The Junior School screen is located by the entrance gate to the playground and the College screen is in the White House car park. Both are front-facing and positioned so they can be seen by parents and visitors arriving at the sites.

Staff are encouraged to make use of the screens for the display of appropriate information and signage, be that event welcomes/details/advertising, reminders, or general information.

Staff should produce signage using the relevant template (SGJ / SGC) and follow the below process.

Process

  • Requests should be emailed to BursarsOffice@StGeorgesWeybridge.com (please copy Paul Saunders PSaunders@StGeorgesWeybridge.com and Liz Drapper EDrapper@StGeorgesWeybridge.com on all JS requests) with two working days’ notice and accompanied by the following information:
    • Date/s you would like your sign to be displayed (please provide a start and end date, or specify if it is a one-off display).
    • Time/s you would like your sign to be displayed (e.g. morning drop-off, afternoon pick-up, all day, or a specific start and end time)
    • Please note, the JS screen is programmed to switch off at 1800 daily. If you would like anything displayed after this time, please note this in your request and ensure adequate notice.
  • We are limited as to how many signs can be displayed on the loop at any one time. If we are unable to meet your request, we will contact you directly.
  • Please use the SGJ eSign Template / SGC eSign Template respectively, retaining the background, textbox location and colour scheme (unless otherwise approved by SLT or Marketing).
  • Where possible, please also retain the pre-set font and size. On occasion, it may be necessary to reduce the font size but please be sensible with the style, sizing, and volume of text on display, ensuring it is clear and can be absorbed in 4 seconds.
  • All designs should be submitted in PPT or PNG format. Please note, any designs containing non-standard fonts (e.g. ‘Just Lovely’, ‘Calluna’) must be saved as an image file to prevent the text from defaulting to a basic font.
  • All signage should be readable within 4 seconds, so please prioritise informative/directional details (e.g. parking available in XXXXX, or, please proceed to XXXXX)
  • Please check spelling and grammar before submitting.
  • If directing readers to a website, consider including a QR code in your design (see here for guidance on creating QR codes in Microsoft Edge)
  • To prevent distraction to drivers, no video content will be displayed on any standard signage.
